Qualifying Top 3 Sergio Perez Technically Charles Leclerc but a penalty meant Fernando Alonso takes second, The Comeback King?! George Russell Podium Sergio Perez Max Verstappen George Russell So, up top, I wanna just say I am so sad over the split of iconic duo Lewis Hamilton and Angela Cullen. Angela has gone on to pursue other life goals after 7 years supporting the 7 time world champion and I wish her the best of luck! But this event makes me unable to shake the thought that Hamilton is preparing to bid the sport a farewell by disbanding the team? But yeah, I'll miss watching them two running around like a real life version of Luke Skywalker and Yoda... Anyway, enough nerd-isms! Following on from a very mixed up few practice sessions (well, apart from Red Bull's continued domination) qualifying saw spins, cars in the wall and engine failures, the most notable being that of Max Verstappen, who ended up qualifying in 15th! Which brings us to the main event, the race! And th...

Remembering Sabine Schmitz

Sabine Schmitz  14th May 1969 - 16th March 2021 Queen of the Nurburgring  Today marks the two year anniversary of motorsport legend, Sabine Schmitz aka the Queen of the Nurburgring, passing away far too soon.  Sabine was one of my first female icons in the motorsport world after I watched her on Top Gear back when I was a kid. After being born into a family of hoteliers, she did briefly run a hotel herself after marrying but lucky fo...

Qualifying Top 3 Max Verstappen Sergio Perez Charles Leclerc Podium Max Verstappen Sergio Perez Fernando Alonso?! So after an interesting first qualifying of the season which saw all the rookies exit in Q1, Gasly land 20th on the grid for his first race outside the Red Bull Family, Hulkenberg put a Haas into Q3 and team Aston Martin continue to impress, we finally had our first lights out and away we go of 2023. There were some surprises in the races and some less surprising events in the race, one of which being the continuation of the Red Bull dominance and Ferrari's reliability issues. But as it was only the first race of the season, I want to focus on the positives since my soul hasn't been beaten down yet. Like the lovely ladies over at the TG1F podcast said: why be upset when you can just have fun? So my honourable mentions are as follows: Obviously I have to shout out to Alonso! After storming through practice sessions and pulling a decent qualifying result, the Sp...
